Foreign Credit Card breaker Arrested

Apparatus Unit Directorate of Criminal Investigation Special Fismodev Polda Metro Jaya arrested three burglary perpetrators of credit card. The perpetrators broke into the U.S. and European credit cards.

The suspects were arrested at two different locations, namely at Jl Kartini, Central Jakarta and at Carrefour Blok M Square, South Jakarta on March 20, 2010. From the hands of a suspect, police seized 226 fake credit cards, dozens of fake ID cards and hundreds of electronic goods and cash of Rp 19 million.

The suspects snared by ITE Law, Article 263 of the Penal Code, article 362 of the Penal Code.

Meanwhile, Coordinator Asosasi Indonesian Credit Card (AKKI) Max Charles called on credit card users to be careful in making transactions.

"Bank Indonesia has ordered all banks to use the chip," says Max.
