Google and Facebook Launch 'Short URL' Services

google short url, facebook short urlTwo large companies Google and Facebook are now starting into a URL shortening service business. Long URLs often considered inefficient and takes a lot of places.

URL shorteners still dominated by Bit.ly. Bit.ly fame was not free from Twitter users who use the service to include a link to remain in the capacity of 140 characters that Twitter has to offer.

Goo.gl is the address offered by Google in the service. But the new service can be used by those who use the Google Toolbar and Google's RSS service, FeedBurner. But if the service proves successful, Google will make available to a wider user.

While social site Facebook, shortening the URL address into fb.me. No official announcement from Facebook about this, but this service can be enjoyed Facebook users accessing via mobile.
