Harddisk Seagate 25GB USB 3.0 transfer only 4 Minutes

Seagate has launched BlackArmor external hard drive PS110 USB 3.0. USB 3.0 capabilities that boost its data transfer speeds up to three times the capacity USB 2.0 that is currently widely used.

Seagate introduced the product in the event Consumer Electronics Show 2010 in Las Vegas. BlackArmor PS110 USB 3.0 is a package consisting of 500GB hard drive 2.5 ", electric cable and a PC express card.

In the test, Seagate claims this device can transfer a movie-sized 25 GB in 4 minutes. In fact, USB 2.0 through the same movie takes 14 minutes.

Speed USB 3.0 theoretically reach 4.8 Gbps or 10-fold USB 2.0. According to Seagate, it is the speed on paper, while the new Seagate substantially achieved three times the performance of the USB 20.

IDC analyst, Liz Conner, said interface Universal Serial Bus (USB) still going to dominate until the year 2011. This, he said, will be assured by the presence of USB 3.0 which promises increased bandwidth is very significant.
